Abstract
Diverticulectomy was used to resect a colorectal diverticulum in a dog that. had undergone colopexy for treatment of recurrent rectal prolap se. A surgical stapling device was used to resect the diverticulum. Te nesmus and obstipation, which developed after diverticulectomy, resolv ed within 2 weeks. Positive-contrast. radiography of the colon, perfor med 9 months after surgery, revealed a slight narrowing of the colorec tum, although the dog was clinically normal.
