A SIMPLE OPEN TUBE DIFFUSION TECHNIQUE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GASEOUS MONOTERPENE STANDARDS AT PPB-LEVEL

Dynamic Systems producing monoterpene gas mixtures are important tools in plant emission and air chemical studies. A simple open tube diffus ion technique, suitable to generate realistic monoterpene concentratio ns (lower ppb-range), is presented. The technique has been successfull y used to set up a laboratory test atmosphere as well as to apply inte rnal monoterpene standards in large plant enclosure chambers. Performa nce and some applications of the technique are discussed.
