M. Taki et E. Hayahara, HIGH-FREQUENCY COMPENSATION OF FREQUENCY-DEPENDENT NEGATIVE-RESISTANCE, Electronics and communications in Japan. Part 3, Fundamental electronic science, 78(7), 1995, pp. 58-64
The GIC filter is one of the LC simulation active filters and has the
advantages that the element sensitivity is low and the higher-order fi
lter can easily be constructed compared to the single-amplifier active
filters. For the high-frequency filter, however, the filter performan
ce may be deteriorated due to the frequency dependency of the operatio
nal amplifier represented by the GB product, for example. Several comp
ensation methods have been proposed for the single amplifier filter, w
hile no effective method has been proposed for the GIC. From such a vi
ewpoint, this paper proposes a compensation method for the frequency r
esponse of FDNR composed of GIC. The proposed frequency-dependent nega
tive resistance (FDNR) is applied to the actual filter circuit, and it
is confirmed that the circuit operates almost as is predicted by the
theory.
