Abstract
Complexes formed between 4-alkoxystilbazoles and 3-cyanophenol show li quid crystal mesophases. Compared to the mesomorphism of similar compl exes formed between stilbazoles and Cyanophenol, the mesophases are mo re stable and are enantiotropic.
