Abstract
The DELPHI Very Forward Tracker will extend the tracking capabilities of the DELPHI microvertex detector in the forward region. It consists of 4 cones of pixel and silicon strip detectors with large strip pitch . The silicon ministrip detector is optimized for high track reconstru ction efficiency and momentum resolution at a minimum number of electr onic channels. The properties of silicon strip detectors with large st rip pitch in terms of charge collection and spatial resolution were in vestigated.
