Abstract
The possible effect of the annealing atmosphere on the TL response of TLD-100 irradiated with 5.3 MeV alpha-particles has been investigated, finding no effect on the sensitivity or the glow curve shape after th ermally treating the chips in air or in He. The relative contribution of peak 3 to the total TL signal is found to be 45% smaller in the fir st reading after annealing than in the following ones.
