Abstract
The energy loss of small carbon clusters C-n (n = 2-5) with energies b etween 1.4 and 4.0 MeV in formvar, carbon and gold foils has been inve stigated. It is found that the energy loss of a cluster C-n with energ y E(0) is n times the energy loss of a carbon ion with energy E(0)/n.
