Abstract
The association between suicidal behaviour and HIV infection has been the subject of much attention in recent years. In this paper we review the evidence about the prevalence of suicide, suicidal ideation and d eliberate self-harm in individuals with HIV infection. Finally we disc uss the significance of the findings, in particular some of the method ological problems encountered in this field.
