PITYRIASIS-RUBRA-PILARIS AS THE INITIAL MANIFESTATION OF INTERNAL NEOPLASIA

Pityriasis rubra pilaris (PRP) is a rare papulosquamous disorder of un known aetiology. There are only three cases reported occurring coincid ent with internal neoplasia. We report a case of this disorder present ing as the initial manifestation of a previously undiagnosed malignanc y with metastases in the liver. The primary tumour was not detected. T he patient had a complete remission of his PRP with topical steroids a lone, but died of the malignancy.
