Abstract
The position, number and length of the setae on the cercopods of Anost raca species are graphically represented and analysed. All species fou nd in Algeria are used as examples. This revealed significant differen ces among the representatives of the genera Artemia, Branchinella, Bra nchipus, Chirocephalus, Streptocephalus and Tanymastigites, and betwee n the related congeners Streptocephalus torvicornis and S. rubricaudat us, and Tanymastigites perrieri and T. mzabica.
