S. Zacharieva et al., EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM TREATMENT WITH THE THROMBOXANE SYNTHESIS BLOCKER INDOBUFEN ON PRESSOR AND DEPRESSOR HUMORAL-FACTORS IN HEALTHY HUMANS, Methods and findings in experimental and clinical pharmacology, 17(9), 1995, pp. 615-619
Twelve healthy subjects were studied after single dose (200 mg p.o.) a
nd 3 days (2 x 200 mg daily p.o.) indobufen treatment. Our findings in
dicated that in addition to well-known antiaggregant activity indobufe
n significantly decreases thromboxane B-2 and increases 6-keto-prostag
landin F-1 after acute and short-term treatment. The activity of renin
-angiotensin-aldosterone system and kalli-krein-kinin system did not c
hange significantly after both experimental periods. It seems also unl
ikely that atrial natriuretic peptide mediates the effects of the drug
.
