Abstract
Electroreduction of some alkylchlorosilanes in the presence of difficu lt to reduce unsaturated compounds (phenylacetylene, styrene, cyclohex ene) results in silylated products where the multiple bond has either reduced multiplicity (hydrosilylation) or the same multiplicity (silyl ation) depending on the nature of the starting compounds and condition s of electrolysis.
