Abstract
An impurity Wolff model on a one-dimensional lattice, which has been p
roposed as a model for correlation effects in resonant tunneling throu
gh a single quantum level, is studied with a microscopic Fermi-Liquid
theory. Specifically, we derive the expression for the conductance in
terms of the phase shift based on the Kubo formula applying the analys
is for the correlation functions, which was originally used to derive
the Korringa relation in Kondo alloys, to the current correlation func
tion. At T = 0, the contributions of the vertex corrections to the cor
relation function for local currents are aero independent of spatial p
oints at which the currents are measured. Consequently, as a function
of the phase shift, the conductance can be written in the same form as
that for noninteracting electrons, and the Coulomb interaction affect
s the conductance through the self-energy corrections included in the
phase shift.
