STUDY OF SUPPORTED SILVER STATES BY THE METHOD OF ELECTRON-SPECTROSCOPY OF DIFFUSE-REFLECTANCE

Different states of silver supported on oxide carriers have been studi ed by the method of electron spectroscopy of diffuse reflectance (ESDR ). The nature of the support, the modifying additions and redox treatm ents have a great effect on the position and intensity of the absorpti on bands of Ag-0, Ag+ and Ag-n(delta+) in the EDR spectra of supported Ag-containing systems. The ESDR method can be used effectively for th e investigation of model and commercial silver catalysts.
