Abstract
Plantlet were regenerated from hypocotyl explants of Albizzia lebbeck cultured in vitro. Adventitious shoots were produced on MS medium supp lemented with 2.0 mg/l BA and 0.2-0.5 mg/l NAA. A positive liner effec t on regeneration was obtained as sucrose level increased from 2-4%. H ypocotyl from 4-week-old seedlings were the most responsive explants. Elongated shoots were rooted on half-strength MS medium supplemented w ith 1.0 mg/l IBA.
