Abstract
The process of scanning the earth's surface using a mirror in a two-st age Cardan suspension is analyzed. Starting from the condition that th e optical image moves along one of the sensitivity axes of a CCD-array photodetector structure with a velocity that is constant in modulus, an algorithm is proposed for calculating the scanning parameters.
