Abstract
A 2 1/2-year-old child was admitted to hospital with acute abdominal p ain and vomiting. A single large air-fluid level without additional bo wel gas was seen on plain abdominal radiography. At laparotomy organoa xial volvulus of the stomach was found and partial gastric resection p erformed. A ''single bubble'' appearance may indicate gastric volvulus .
