Abstract
The deliverable catheter length of the Palmaz-Schatz stent delivery sy stem is significantly limited by the protective sheath and clamshell d evice. This limitation must be considered when planning distal stent p lacement, especially in bypass graft lesions. A technique for shorteni ng the guide catheter without losing guidewire position is described. (C) 1996 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
