Abstract
Analysis of variance showed significant effect of genetic group and pa rity of sows on all the reproductive and litter traits except effect o f parity on gestation period. Season of farrowing had nonsignificant i nfluence on litter size and litter weight at birth and at weaning. But it had significant effect on gestation period. Low litter size and li tter weight at birth and at weaning was recorded in desi sows. The dif ferences among other exotic breeds and crossbred pigs (3/4 exotic) wer e nonsignificant in most cases.
