Abstract
Communication: A nem concept for analyte detection based on the combin ation of interdigitated capacitor technology with supramolecular struc tures (see this month's cover picture) is presented. Analyte molecules disturb the hydrogen bonds between pyridone units, and it is this str ucture-breaking effect (see figure) which is the basis of the sensor d etection.
