The current-voltage characteristic of a tunnel barrier in a Luttinger
liquid with interaction parameter g and subject to a time dependent dr
iving voltage of frequency Omega is calculated. The DC-conductance of
the nonlinearly driven barrier is given by a superposition of the line
ar AC-conductances at multiples of Omega, both for strong and weak tun
neling. For g = 1/2, we calculate the tunneling conductance for arbitr
ary strength of the barrier. For low T and weak repulsive interaction,
the conductance shows characteristic oscillations as a function of Om
ega. They are signature of photoinduced charge density wave depinning.
