Cg. Klutke et al., SURGEONS WORKSHOP - ANTEGRADE COLLAGEN INJECTION - NEW TECHNIQUE FOR POSTPROSTATECTOMY STRESS-INCONTINENCE, Journal of endourology, 9(6), 1995, pp. 513-515
Intraurethral collagen injection has become a recognized modality to t
reat stress urinary incontinence, The results of this procedure using
the traditional retrograde endoscopic approach have generally been dis
appointing for men with sphincteric incontinence after radical prostat
ectomy. We describe a new technique of antegrade collagen injection ut
ilizing suprapubic percutaneous bladder access to achieve simultaneous
antegrade and retrograde endoscopic views of the bladder neck, This n
ew injection technique is a promising and simple method of correcting
postprostatectomy stress urinary incontinence.
