Abstract
In order to prepare thin film of crosslinked copolymer for nonlinear o ptics, the copolymerization of styrene and 4 ethenyl alpha acetoxystyr ene has been studied. Soluble copolymers have been obtained and the va riations of their molecular masses show that a partial thermal crossli nking reaction occurs. This property has been used to prepare thin fil ms of terpolymer of styrene, dye for nonlinear optics and of 4 ethenyl alpha acetoxystyrene, which have been crosslinked after heating in an oven.
