Abstract
Six random copolyesters containing anthraquinone mesogen were synthesi sed by solution polymerisation. These were characterised by viscosity measurements, spectral data, WAXD studies and SEM investigations. The thermotropic liquid crystalline behaviour of these polymers was invest igated by optical polarising microscopy.
