Abstract
Induction of chromosome aberrations was investigated in cultured Chine se hamster cells treated with pyrimethamine. Pyrimethamine without met abolic activation strongly induced structural chromosome aberrations i n a dose-dependent manner. Aberrant metaphase cells occurred at a freq uency of 80%, when cells were treated at 1.6 mug/ml for 48 h.
