Abstract
In the present paper, models of growth, substrate concentration and pr oduct formation that use a simple expression of the logistic equation are fitted. The parameters of this expression may be related to physic al parameters, making its interpretation easier. In addition employing only one equation to reflect all the growth curve facilitates the obt ention of kinetic parameters and carbon balances.
