Abstract
Reaction of 6-chloro-5-formyl-1,3-disubstituted uracils((1,2)) 1 with different ylids were investigated either thermally or photochemically. The suggested mechanism was based on 6 pi-electron cyclization reacti ons((3,4)). The antimicrobial activity of the prepared compounds has b een also studied.
