Abstract
Recurrence of traditionally treated appendicitis is rarely reported bu t known to surgeons and is probably underestimated. We described a cas e, illustrated by CT, of stump abscess 2 years after laparoscopic appe ndectomy. Sonography and CT are helpful in detecting pericecal changes , but diagnosis is confirmed by laparotomy.
