Collaborative consultation is an interactive process that enables peop le with diverse expertise to generate creative solutions to mutually d efined problems. The outcome is enhanced, altered, and produces soluti ons that are different from those that the individual team members wou ld produce independently. The major outcome of collaborative consultat ion is to provide comprehensive and effective programs for students wi th special needs within the most appropriate context, thereby enabling them to achieve maximum constructive interaction with their nonhandic apped peers.
