Abstract
We present multifrequency observations made with the VLA and MERLIN, w hich clearly show that the 'steep-spectrum core' of 3C293 has a two-si ded jet structure with a true nat-spectrum core. We discuss the radio structure and its relationship with the class of compact steep-spectru m sources.
