Abstract
A 23-year-old pregnant woman was found dead at home. The anamnesis was completely negative, except for a slight dysphagia. The most importan t autopsy finding was a remarkable previously undiagnosed, megaesophag us. Conjunctival and pleural petechiae were also observed. The most li kely etiopathogenetic factors are considered and discussed.
