Abstract
Monte-Carlo-type calculations were performed to study the formation of monomer, dimer and polymer phases in the A(1)C(60) (A = K, Rb, Cs) sy stem. The complicated sequence of phase transitions between metastable and stable phases reported for these systems was reproduced. For exam ple, the formation of an intermediate f.c.c. phase during the decompos ition of the metastable dimer phase to the stable polymer phase has be en observed.
