Abstract
In this paper C. West Churchman explores a question that Kenneth Bould ing asked repeatedly: 'Is economics basically a study of ethical behav iour?' In typical Churchman style, he has a conversation with Boulding about this question and discusses it in the context of his own primar y concern: the relationships between ethics and science.
