RESONANCE CONES IN MAGNETIZED PLASMA

An experimental investigation of ion and electron resonance cones have been carried out in the toroidal device Thorello in which a weakly ma gnetized plasma is produced. As resonance cones propagation depends on foundamental parameters of plasma, we can estimate density, temperatu re, magnetic field and ion minority concentration. In this way the inv estigation aims to develop some plasma diagnostics comparable to the o ther methods.
