S. Lemont et al., ELECTROCHEMICAL REDUCTION OF GRAPHITE AND FULLERENES FROM SOLID LITHIUM SALT POLYMER ELECTROLYTES, Molecular crystals and liquid crystals science and technology. Section A, Molecular crystals and liquid crystals, 244, 1994, pp. 203-208
Electrochemical reduction of graphite and fullerenes has been carried
out in solid state cells operating with solid polymer electrolytes bas
ed on poly(ethyleneoxide), (PEG), complexed with lithium perchlorate.
Low speed cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic reduction and oxidation ex
periments give evidence for different successive redox states which ap
pear during the cycling of both carbon materials. Preliminary electron
diffraction studies have been performed on selected intercalated full
erenes.
