N-2 gas was physintercalated into C24K prepared from HOPG and the prop
erties of the system was studied by n-diffraction and nuclear resonanc
e photon scattering. The tilt of the N-2 molecular axis was found to b
e very nearly parallel to the graphite planes. The identity period was
determined before and after gas intercalation. The mosaicity of the s
ystem was destroyed by repeated intercalation and deintercalation of t
he gas.
