Vi. Galkin et al., KINETICS AND MECHANISM OF ADDITION OF DIALKYL HYDROGEN PHOSPHITES TO ETHYL BENZOYLFORMATE, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 68(1), 1995, pp. 33-36
The kinetics and mechanism of addition of dialkyl hydrogen phosphites
and their fluorinated analogs to ethyl benzoylformate was studied for
the first time by spectrophotometry. The kinetic and activation parame
ters of the reactions studied were determined. The inversed reactivity
order in the series of dialkyl hydrogen. phosphites was found, the re
activities of fluorinated and nonfluorinated dialkyl hydrogen phosphit
es being similar. The reactivity of dialkyl hydrogen phosphites in the
se reactions is governed by the stereoelectronic effect of substituent
s at the phosphorus atom.
