V. Polo et al., ELECTRICAL-TRANSPORT IN METAL (M=CU, CD, PD) CHLOROALUMINATE INTERCALATED GRAPHITE, Molecular crystals and liquid crystals science and technology. Section A, Molecular crystals and liquid crystals, 244, 1994, pp. 75-80
This paper examines the in-plane and c axis electrical resistivities,
rho(a) and rho(c), from 4.2 to 295K for first stage M(x)Al(2)Cl(8) GIC
s where M = Cu, Cd or Pd. It is found that d rho/dT > 0 for all cases
in both directions. Particularly high values of rho(c) and anisotropy
(rho(c)/rho(a)) are found for the Pd containing materials, exceeding 5
Omega.cm and 10(6) at 4.2K respectively. The magnetic ordering observ
ed elsewhere in the Cu-containing materials does not appear to influen
ce the transport in either direction.
