Abstract
Oxazolidines CH(2)CH(2)OCH(2)NCH(2)OR (R=C2H7, CH2CH=CH2, CH2C-CH) hav e been obtained by the reaction of formaldehyde, monoethanolamine, and propyl, alkyl, or propargyl alcohols. These substances have been char acterized by IR and PMR spectra, and their protective properties again st corrosion of transformer steel under the action of hydrochloric aci d have been studied.
