Abstract
Two-photon ionization of helium is investigated by using a discretizat ion technique. Perturbative cross sections are calculated with a L2 ba sis set (B-splines), the efficiency of such an approach is discussed i n the context of above threshold ionization (ATI). We propose a parame trization of the cross sections in the region of resonances. The role of the correlations is discussed in a P - Q Feshbach projection treatm ent.
