Abstract
Within the genus Neolissoceras, the new subgenus Carinites is establis hed for two species, N. (C.) salinarium (Uhlig) and N. (C) cornutus n. sp. The latter is remarkable for the presence of a long and thin vent ral horn, on the end of the body chamber. The representatives of the s ubgenus Carinites are quite abundant in the lower Valanginian (Campylo toxus Zone) of the Vocontian trough. They are well characterized by th e presence of a mid-ventral keel. Here, we proposed also a new Neocomi tes platycostatus Horizon, at the top of the Campylotoxus Zone.
