Abstract
Plutonium is a special nuclear material which must be accurately measu red and accounted for, both with respect to mass and isotopic composit ion. The MGA code for evaluation of plutonium gamma spectra has been t ested in this work with respect to its dependence on various instrumen tal and sample parameters. Results show that the code is generally rel iable under the tested conditions. Recommendations for the equipment t o be applied are given.
