POST-CARDIOTOMY SYNDROME - A RARE COMPLIC ATION OF TRANSVENOUS CARDIAC PACING - A CASE-REPORT

The authors report a new case of the post-pericardiotomy syndrome occu rring after implantation of a DDD pacemaker. This is a rare complicati on of the insertion of a screw atrial electrode, the iatrogenic potent ial of which has already been reported. The immediate outcome was favo urable with anti-inflammatory therapy.
