We report on the cytogenetic analysis of a case of cardiac myxoma of t
he ''syndrome myxoma'' type, in which clonal telomeric associations be
tween chromosomes 13 and 15, as well as nonclonal telomeric associatio
ns between chromosomes 12 and 17 and between chromosome 2 and an unide
ntified chromosome were observed. Nonclonal structural abnormalities w
ere also present. This is the second reported case of cytogenetic abno
rmalities of syndrome cardiac myxoma, and the fourth case in which tel
omeric associations have been described. (C) 1994 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
