Abstract
The surgical treatment of urethral dilatation in the perineal region o f seven young Belgian blue bulls is described. Urethrostomy under loca l anaesthesia in the standing animal resulted in a successful outcome in three of them. The possible aetiological factors and consequences o f this syndrome are discussed.
