Abstract
A plasmid library (400 clones) of the human chromosome 19 sequences se lectively binding to nuclear matrix was obtained and characterized. Ap proximately 50% clones contained DNA sequences specific for human chro mosome 19. Over 90% of these sequences represented matrix attachment r egions (MARs). Eight MARs were localized to the chromosome 19 physical map.
