Abstract
Ultraviolet divergencies in gauge theories including those with higher powers of covariant derivatives are discussed in a space-time of an a rbitrary dimension. In particular, it is noted that in the case d = 5 all the one-loop graphs are finite, and theories with sufficiently hig h power of derivatives are finite in all orders.
