Abstract
The solubilities of ternary system, PrCl3 . 3H(2)O-18C6-C2H5OH, at 25 degrees C were investigated by a semimicro method for the study of pha se equilibrium and the refractive indexes of saturated solutions were determined, Three kinds of stoichiometrical coordination compounds can be formed in the system, their chemical compositions are 2PrCl(3) . 1 8C6 . 6H(2)O . C2H5OH, 4PrCl(3) . 3(18C6). 12H(2)O and PrCl3 . 18C6 . 3H(2)O. The three kinds of coordination compounds were prepared on the basis of tile result of phase equilibrium, and characterized by IR sp ectra, conductivity measurements, TG, DTG and DSC.
