Yh. Lin et al., MOLECULAR AND CHEMICAL TAXONOMIC DIFFERENTIATION OF CANDIDA-BOIDINII RAMIREZ STRAINS, International journal of systematic bacteriology, 46(1), 1996, pp. 352-355
Molecular and chemical taxonomic characteristics, including DNA base c
omposition, electrophoretic karyotype, restriction fragment length pol
ymorphism of genes coding for rRNA, cellular fatty acid composition, a
nd ubiquinone systems, were studied for 19 strains of Candida boidinii
Ramirez. Electrophoretic karyotype and restriction fragment length po
lymorphism demonstrated marked differences among these strains. A comb
ination of molecular and chemical analyses can serve as a reliable too
l for culture authentication and quality control of industrial strains
