POSITION IS EVERYTHING

Neurophysiological evidence consonant with F&L's lambda model is revie wed and results of additional experiments are presented. The evidence shows that there are neurons in the motor cortex that respond to selec tive band widths of passive sinusoidal movements; the additional data show how, with movement, directionally sensitive population vectors ca n be shown to emerge from the data.
